Day by Day Itinerary
After breakfast in Arusha, meet your professional safari guide and begin your journey to Serengeti National Park. Travel through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route, depending on the selected route.
Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy game viewing across its vast grasslands and scattered rocky kopjes. The Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera region, is renowned for its resident wildlife and excellent opportunities to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and zebras.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the journey and continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Central Serengeti and travel towards the northern region of the park. Enjoy game viewing along the way as the scenery changes from open savannah plains to rolling hills, river valleys and woodland.
Northern Serengeti is especially famous for the seasonal Great Wildebeest Migration, when vast herds of wildebeest and zebras move through the region. Depending on the season and herd movements, you may explore areas around the Mara River, where dramatic river crossings sometimes occur.
Keep an eye out for predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and crocodiles near the river. After your game drive, continue to your northern Serengeti accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin the day with breakfast before enjoying a morning game drive in Northern Serengeti. Depending on the season, explore suitable wildlife-viewing areas around the northern plains and Mara River region in search of migrating wildebeest, zebras and the predators that follow the herds.
Continue south towards Central Serengeti, enjoying game viewing along the route. The central region offers rewarding wildlife encounters throughout the year, including resident lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and many plains animals.
Stop for a picnic lunch along the way before continuing your journey. Arrive at your Central Serengeti lodge or tented camp in the late afternoon or evening for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, depart Central Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way as you leave the Serengeti's expansive plains and approach the cooler, greener Ngorongoro highlands.
Depending on the route and timing, there may be opportunities to spot wildlife during the journey. The changing scenery provides excellent opportunities for photography and a different perspective on Tanzania's diverse ecosystems.
Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the Ngorongoro area or nearby Karatu, where you can relax, enjoy dinner and prepare for the following day's Ngorongoro Crater excursion.

After an early breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into its remarkable caldera for a memorable morning game drive. The crater floor supports an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, hippos and elephants.
With some luck, you may spot the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as lions and hyenas. Your guide will help you explore suitable wildlife-viewing areas while explaining the crater's unique ecosystem and conservation importance.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your excursion before ascending the crater and beginning your transfer to Arusha or Airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
