Day by Day Itinerary
After breakfast, your professional safari guide will meet you at your hotel in Arusha for a short briefing before departing for Tarangire National Park. The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania toward one of the country's most rewarding wildlife destinations.
Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant populations, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, enter the park and begin your game drive across open savannah, woodland, and riverine habitats. Keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, and warthogs. With some luck, you may also spot lions or other predators resting in the shade or moving through the grass.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Your guide will help you discover the park's remarkable wildlife while explaining animal behavior and the surrounding ecosystem.
Later in the afternoon, leave Tarangire and travel toward Karatu or the Ngorongoro highlands. Check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner, and relax overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart from your lodge in Karatu and travel toward Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the changing scenery as you leave the highlands behind and journey toward the vast grasslands of the Serengeti ecosystem.
Depending on your route and arrangements, you may pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with opportunities to enjoy scenic views along the way. Continue toward Serengeti, a world-famous wildlife destination known for its open plains, rich animal populations, and the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Upon entering the park, begin your game drive as you make your way toward your accommodation. Look out for wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and gazelles. The Serengeti is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, although sightings depend on wildlife movements and natural conditions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day's journey and continue exploring the park in the afternoon. Later, arrive at your lodge or tented camp, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for a full day of wildlife viewing.

Depending on your accommodation location, begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife is often active. Explore the grasslands, rocky outcrops known as kopjes, and other suitable wildlife areas with your experienced guide.
Look for lions resting or hunting, cheetahs scanning the open plains, and leopards concealed among trees. You may also encounter elephants, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, hippos near water sources, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. If your travel dates coincide with the Great Wildebeest Migration in the area you visit, you may have the opportunity to observe migrating herds.
