Day by Day Itinerary
After breakfast in Arusha, meet your professional safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most beautiful wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, rolling savannah and large herds of elephants that gather around the Tarangire River, especially during the dry season.
Enjoy a game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas and other wildlife. With some luck, you may spot lions or leopards resting in the shade or moving through the vegetation. Bird enthusiasts can also enjoy the park's diverse birdlife.
After a picnic lunch and an afternoon of wildlife viewing, leave the park and travel towards Karatu or the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy spectacular views of the highlands before entering the vast Serengeti ecosystem.
As you proceed across the plains, begin your wildlife adventure with a game drive en route. The Serengeti is home to large populations of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants and numerous predators. Depending on the season, you may also encounter herds associated with the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way before continuing your game drive towards your accommodation. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the afternoon or evening, followed by dinner and relaxation.

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park, one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations. After breakfast, set out with your guide to explore the plains, river valleys and rocky kopjes, choosing areas based on wildlife activity and seasonal conditions.
Search for the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and, with luck, rhinoceroses. The Serengeti is particularly famous for its lions and other big cats, while elephants and buffaloes can be seen in different habitats throughout the park.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. Along the way, look for cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, zebras and large herds of grazing animals. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head out for another full day of wildlife viewing in the Serengeti. Having additional time in the park gives you more opportunities to explore different habitats and search for wildlife that you may not have encountered on the previous day's game drive.
Your guide will plan the day according to recent sightings, seasonal wildlife movements and your interests. Look for lions resting near rocky outcrops, leopards in acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the open grasslands and elephants moving across the plains. Depending on the time of year, you may also encounter migrating wildebeest and zebras.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive and continue exploring through the afternoon. Return to your lodge or tented camp for your final evening in the Serengeti, with time to relax and enjoy dinner beneath the African sky.

Begin the day with an early breakfast before departing Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel towards the crater, enjoying the landscapes and wildlife-viewing opportunities along the route.
Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on its wildlife-rich floor. This remarkable natural caldera supports a wide variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and hippos. The crater is also one of Tanzania's important habitats for the endangered black rhinoceros, although sightings are never guaranteed.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during your crater excursion before ascending the crater walls and beginning the journey back to Arusha. A drop-off at Kilimanjaro International Airport can also be arranged, subject to your flight schedule and the timing of the day's activities.
