Kilimanjaro Trekking via Lemosho Route
Lemosho Route
The Lemosho Route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the western side, offering an exceptional trekking experience through some of the mountain’s most beautiful and diverse landscapes. The adventure begins at Londorossi Gate, where the trail enters a lush rainforest filled with unique vegetation and rich natural beauty.
As you gain altitude, the forest gradually gives way to open moorland and the breathtaking Shira Plateau, where you can enjoy spectacular views of Kilimanjaro’s volcanic formations. The route then continues towards Lava Tower before joining the Southern Circuit, passing beneath the impressive Barranco Wall and continuing towards Barafu Camp.
The final ascent begins at night, taking you towards Stella Point before reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 metres above sea level.
At Aqon Safari Limited, we organize guided Lemosho Route climbs with experienced mountain guides, professional mountain crews, and carefully planned trekking arrangements to help you enjoy a memorable and well-supported mountain adventure.
